Now more than ever, it’s possible to order a beautiful hand-poured small batch candle from a small business in the Midwest, as well as a set of handmade braided jute placemats imported from Bangladesh.

I find it's easier to spend my money when I know I’m supporting small businesses and especially charities that do important work all over the world.

Essentially, put your money where your heart is. After all, every product has a story behind it. 

What matters most is looking behind the glitz and glamour of the product to see where and how it's made. When you spend your hard-earned money, you’re making a choice with your dollar. You are deciding who and what deserves your investment. What type of product is it? Who made it? Do they make a fair wage making the product? Realizing the intentionality of what we purchase is our responsibility as consumers. The health of our planet and our people depend on it.
