April is one of my favorite months of the year. Why, you ask? April is National Gardening Month and National Decorating Month! As someone who loves brightening my home with exciting décor and plant life, I’m always on the lookout for unique and bold pieces to accentuate my space. This month’s shopping list is so special because these ten gardening and decorating favorites will easily spruce up your springtime décor!
Psst! You’ll see that I’m going for lots of contrast. Bold colors with delicate accents. Organic foliage with modern, straight lines. It’s this rule of contrast that what will keep your space exciting and eye-catching all season long!
Tapered Metal Floor Vase | This piece is both bold and beautiful, whether you place it on the floor or on the table. Accent the gold, geometric design of this vase with tall, delicate foliage and neutral, creamy flowers.
6 Step Espresso Wood Ladder Shelf| Crafted from reclaimed wood, this hand-made ladder has a dark espresso wood stain, making it a classy match for any décor style. Tie in the floral colors of spring with this multicolor throw or bright blanket.
Moroccan Pouf Ottoman | Incredibly unique, this ottoman can serve as a footstool, seat, or accent piece. Crafted with leather to provide a sense of strength and warmth and accented with silk details to exhibit delicate, floral decorations, the Moroccan Pouf Ottoman uses beautiful contrast in its materials to draw the eye. It’s a particularly great addition to creamy neutral furniture, or a space with a nature-infused palette.
Hanging Rectangle Planter | The perfect way to celebrate National Gardening Month indoors, this rectangle planter brings organic beauty into your home using modern, sharp angles. The ideal pairing with succulents, you can count on this accent piece to bring visual interest to your space, while helping you keep your air clean and fresh.
Woven Wall Art Plate | I am in love with this 32” Jumbo Brea Forest Bud Woven Wall Art Plate. Handwoven in Uganda, this art plate is made through intricate craftsmanship and incorporates gorgeous cool tones into your space. I love pairing it with smaller trays and baskets or other woven plates for an exciting composition on the wall.
Ceramic Planter with Metal Stand | Ideal for both indoor display or patio decoration, these ceramic planters feature a modern black-and-white pattern that pairs perfectly with whimsical leaves like the quirky bird’s nest fern or beautiful, bright spring blooms.
Sunburst Mat | Step into spring with this gorgeous mat on your patio or at the entrance of your home. Even better? Roll up the Sunburst Mat and take it with you to soak up some sun on the beach or at the park.
6” First Diamond + Basket | Not a gardener? No problem! This beautiful little pairing brings the garden to you. First Diamonds have bright leaves without being too “green” for those who prefer a more neutral palette (like yours truly!). The woven planter is light and airy while still providing the structure your plant needs as it grows. Even better? These beauties cause no fuss and are incredibly easy to care for.
Peacock Teacup Planter| Ready for a spring day teatime? This peacock teacup planter is both elegant and detailed while still working in tandem with all sorts of décor styles. The peacock feathers set you up for all sorts of green, blue, and yellow floral arrangements.
Tomato Leaf Candle | Even if you’re not the plant-parent type, you can still have a garden-fresh scent in your space with this Tomato Leaf Candle. With hints of lemon peel, basil, and thyme, this savory candle is a great springtime smell for those who dislike sweeter floral scents.
